CatSci Ltd has extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of chemistry from discovery support through to full scale manufacturing and life-cycle management.

As our Cardiff operations are growing, we are now looking for a Pharmaceutical Formulation Development Manager to join our state-of-art facility.

Your impact as Pharmaceutical Formulation Development Manager

  • Designing, leading, and delivering pharmaceutical formulation development programmes to cost, quality and time demands
  • Writing and presenting proposals for potential clients, liaising with clients at technical meetings, compiling reports to convey results and offer conclusions
  • Delivering early phase risk assessments, pre - formulation screenings and designing and developing preclinical and clinical formulation
  • Providing technical expertise and pre- formulation and formulation input into project development
  • Designing and executing experiments for screening and characterisation, including API solubility/compatibility experiments, dissolution/precipitation studies and characterisation of drug molecule using techniques such as XRD, DVS, DSC, PSD TGA

Requirement for Pharmaceutical Formulation Development Manager

  • PhD, or MSc level qualification in pharmacy, chemistry, drug development or formulation related discipline
  • Relevant work experience in Pre-formulation/formulation development in a variety of areas
  • Expertise in early phase development including a knowledge of drug delivery, pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics
  • Experience in project management
  • Passion for collaboration

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: £41,000 - £56,000 per annum (depending on experience + negotiable)
